Why have an Eye Exam?
- A Cataract is a clouding of the normally clear lens of
your eye. Symptoms range from glare with bright lights to
a dullness of colors.Once detected, a short outpatient
surgery will correct this problem.
- Diabetes has an adverse effect on almost every part of
the eye and may be detected there before symptoms show
elsewhere. One cause of cataracts is when diabetes
affects the eye.
- Atherosclerosis is a hardening and thickening of the
arteries that if present is commonly revealed in
it’s early stages by an eye check–up. Early
treatment may be life saving as well as vision saving.
- Glaucoma is a treatable ‘silent’ disease
found in the eye alone. A routine eye examination may
detect this disease and intervention with medicine or
surgery can prevent further damage to your vision.
